Greetings everyone!

It’s 2012 and NTC is once again starting our Science of Mind classes. This session will be Science of Mind 102. Teachers are ready to make things happen in class.

This weekend Jan 28th and 29th. Saturday’s class will start this Saturday – Jan 28th at 9am with Rev. Anna Lopez and Gary Styer.

Sunday’s class will start at 12 noon with Louie Moller and Mirtha Koder.

Science of Mind 102 consists of: THE NATURE OF EFFECTIVE PRAYER

The Nature of Effective Prayer is designed to give the student a thorough understanding of the nature and practice of affirmative prayer. SOM 102 incorporates exercises that develop the student’s understanding of how to pray effectively for themselves. Participants practice by writing spiritual mind treatments. This course covers pages 63-83 in The Science of Mind textbook.

Greetings to all! Please join us every Thursday night at New Thought Community for our weekly spiritual gatherings.

Here is what we have going on:
1st Thursday of the Month @ 6pm is REIKI SHARE. What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. We usually have 3 or 4 Reiki Practitioners that night. If you have stress & need relaxation, the Practitioners can work on you to help you release.
2nd Thursday of the Month @6:30pm is DRUM CIRCLE. What is a Drum Circle? We all gather together and play the hand drums. Drums will vary in size. It can include people of all ages. The main objective is to share rhythm and get in tune with each other and themselves. To form a group consciousness.
3rd Thursday of the Month @ 6pm is Movement/Dance/Craft. We may do Yoga, Brainwave Vibration Movement, Discovering Spirit through dance, jewelry making, sewing projects depends on what is decided when we meet.
4th Thursday of the Month @ 7pm is Meditation. What is Meditation? Meditation can lead to a state of consciousness that brings serenity, clarity, and bliss.

Hi everyone, Its that time again! We have a Monthly Metaphysical Bible Class starting Saturday, 1/21/12 with Rev Connie Treis. Time is 9am to 1pm. Held at Centre for Harmony next door to the church.

During the 1st class on Saturday the remaining monthly classes will be determined. Taking this class will help your Spiritual growth and will help you have a better understanding of the Bible and its meaning.

There is a fee for the class.

Greetings to everyone! So glad you are reading this text. New Thought Community will be having a BOOK EXCHANGE this Sunday at 10am. Feel free to bring Kids books as well.

I know that some of us as Avid readers have a tendancy to horde books, well this is your change to get rid of them. Remember this is a good way to clean your bookshelves.

Book Exchanges are also good for the Environment. PLUS for every 24 books that are swapped or exchanged WE save ONE TREE.. Yeah! Let’s participate in this great idea and make it happen.

You can bring New Thought Books, Kids books, history books, etc. See you there! Thank you and Blessings.

JOIN US & let’s get together as ONE for our SUMMER SOLSTICE DRUMMING CIRCLE @ NTC on Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 at 6:30pm to 7:30 pm. Don’t MISS OUT on this awesome experience.

Our Drum Circle this evening will be to celebrate the Summer Solstice obviously. But, we usually try to have at least One Drumming Cirlce per quarter.

Let’s share the rythm and get in tune with each other. Feel Free to bring your Kids, Friends, Neighbors and Family. All are welcome. Let’s Drum, Dance, Chant & Sing together. See you there. Many Blessings to you and yours.

WE want to THANK ALL of the people that were involved in making this Fundraiser a SUCCESS for New Thougth Community. The Silent Auction made $1486.00 dollars, YEAH! That is $300.00 more than last years event.

THANK YOU to the people that Donated the Silent Auction items, to ALL of the helpers with set up and take down , clean up and THANK YOU to all who attended and bid on the items and all of those who DANCED…

It was LOTS of FUN. We need to do it again soon. Maybe in the FALL. Many Blessings to ALL of you.

The National Day of Prayer takes place Thursday, May 5 at 7:00 pm. We will be meeting at New Thought Community at 5:45, designating drivers and plan on hitting the road by 6:00pm. Love offerings for drivers are greatly appreciated and encouraged.
Thank you in advance, hope to share this magical event with you all!

In keeping with this years theme, “Peace and Healing” we will be applying these practices to our daily life. Focusing peace and healing onto our beautiful planet. By carpooling, we greatly reduce the pollutants that fill the air. Come share a ride, enjoy the company and help the planet!

Hi everyone, We’d like to pay our Respects to Mr. Tim Lance Lowry, 53 yrs of age. He was one our weekly Meditation attendees. He passed away this past Tuesday night in his sleep. We believe it was due to an Epileptic seizure. Tim was a Science of Mind fan having taken more than several years of classes. He was also a Salesman,  Author and a Oneness Blessings giver. We Thank him for his presence at our facility.

In Celebration of his Life, Services will be this coming Monday at G.L. Johnson Chapel at Peoples Church. Graveside serv at 1pm at Tulare Cemetary. Remembances to Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles, 5777 W. Century Blvd, Ste 820, Los Angeles, CA. 90045.

Arrangements: Farewell Funeral Services. God Bless him and his family. He will be missed.

Hi everyone, WE are SO excited to announce that on Saturday , May 7th, 2011 from 7pm to 10pm there will be a Spring Dance and Silent Auction being held at NTC facility.

Last year we had this event at NTC. The Silent Auction made well over $1100.00. yeah! We want this year to be even Bigger and Better. Help us to accomplish this by bringing ALL of your friends and family.

Rev Lilly is heading this event. Mirtha Koder has volunteered to help with obtaining donations & gift from businesses around town, acquaintances, etc. Carol Ann Rubin & Mirtha Koder have also volunteered to donate some of their hand made jewelry.

We need MORE Volunteers to do the following; 1. Donation of items for Silent Auction 2. Set Up 3. Take Down 4. Food donations 5. Decorations 6. Bagging the merchandise after sale 7. Clean Up and more.

At this time through April 4th we have been given the opportunity of Living , Celebrating, Sharing with others the understanding of the Season for Non-Violence.  How beautiful that is. What is the Season for Non-Violence?  Please read below:

A season for Nonviolence, January 30 – April 4, is a National 64-day educational, media, and grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that nonviolence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower our lives and our communities. Inspired by the 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this international event honors their vision for an empowered, nonviolent world.

With this, WE at New Thought Community are Launching our WORLD PEACE MEDITATION and PRAYER. We are starting this on a WEEKLY basis this Sunday , March 6th thru April 3rd. Time will be 9:30 am to 10 am.

Bring yourself and your family & Take this opportunity to experience the satisfaction of knowing that WE together working as a TEAM here in the Valley can possibly create PEACE Together for the World !!!! PLEASE JOIN US.

If you wish, you can make a LOVE offering/donation. A certain percentage of this offering will be donated to Local Peace organizations here in the Valley. For Example, Food not Bombs, etc.
